Subsequent to year-end the credit rating was moved from Baa3 to Ba1 for the long-term local currency and foreign currency deposit ratings of the
major banks in South Africa.
Risk on South African banks is considered negligible as all cash deposits are guaranteed by the SA Reserve Bank and banks are financially sound.
